H&W COUNTY FENCING WEEKEND, 23rd & 24th May 2015, Jubilee Foil & Epee plus Senior County Championships
Venue: Trinity High School, Other Road, Redditch, B98 8HB. Children's age groups at foil and epee; seniors at all three weapons plus teams. Suitable for first time competitors as well as the more experienced ones. Volunteers welcome, a chance improve your refereeing, learn some armoury and see how competitions are run. On 7th August 2014 Malcolm Fare received sad news from John Harding's daughter Alison to say that he had passed away peacefully in the night.

PETER BIRD TROPHY
This is awarded annually to a fencer within the County who shows "Style and Sportsmanship". The decision of the winner is made by the County Captain (Dan Robinson) and the previous years winner (Mark Robinson) and technically the County Chair (though on this occasion she was blissfully unaware until the trophy arrived on the day). The 2013 winner, as announced at the County Champs is Sam Stockley |
