The Peter Bird Trophy is awarded every year to the fencer within the County who shows "Style and Sportsmanship" The decision of the winner is made by Sam Stockley, County Captain, Simon Webb, County Chairman and the previous year's winner, Dan Robinson.

The award this year goes to Alexander Lloyd from Worcester currently fencing for Team Melia. He was originally trained by John Harding, at the Worcester Classic Foil Club, who has given him an excellent grounding in foil technique and with his work with the development squad, in particular Rhys Melia, he is becoming an excellent prospect for the future. The combination of classical and modern styles when fencing and attention to detail on the piste has led to this award.
