(*) Subject to the availability of FIE referees, of which the travel and accommodation expenses will be charged in equal shares to the fencers entered. |
DO NOT RELY SOLELY ON THIS CALENDAR. CHECK days and dates with competition organisers. |
In order to ensure compliance with o.9 of the FIE rules, entries to all official FIE competitions including Satellites shall be made via the relevant Weapon Captain for submission to the competition organisers by the BFA. Unless otherwise specified by the relevant Weapon Captain, fencers wanting to enter/be selected for an epee event should send the REGISTRATION FORM together with the appropriate fees to the Weapon Captain at least seven weeks before the start of the event. Unless otherwise notified, the selection for A-grades will normally be based on the rolling rankings available 5 to 8 weeks before the event.
Fencers and referees must have a current FIE licence to participate in FIE competitions. Licences can be obtained using application form from BFA website (http://www.britishfencing.com/fielicence200405.html) and sending it by post with cheque.
See also FIE rule book regarding entries, referees and large fines for failure to comply with certain rules (e.g. failure to turn up at an FIE competition for which you are entered see rule o.31. This certainly applies to Open World Championships and Open World Cup competiutions.) N.B. Fencers will be held responsible to BFA for payment of any fines they incur.
|
Fencers can count their best 3 overseas results including A-Grades, World Championships and European Championships. See Senior ranking scheme for revised rules on NIF count for certain competitions including Satellites. In order to claim their full points entitlement fencers should ensure that a full set of results will be available to the rankings co-ordinators. |
